LZHS Internship and Scholarship Opportunities!
The District 95 Educational Foundation is excited to sponsor three internships this summer. Applicants must be registered 2017-2018 Lake Zurich High School students. Cover letter and resume submissions should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org by June 9, 2017. Following are descriptons of the three internships:
Ela Library Makerspace Internship Assignment
Learn how non-profit organizations work to assist needs in the local community. This assignment is in the Ela Library’s makerspace area called Forge. This position will introduce the intern to core makerspace technologies such as 3D printing and circuitry kits while assisting library patrons with various technologies. This assignment will also test new equipment, including virtual reality gear, providing feedback to Ela Library staff.

D95 Foundation and Joanie’s Closet Internship Assignment
Learn how non-profit organizations work to assist needs in the local community. This
position utilizes inventory and project management skills while assisting in the creation of
school supply kits for under-resourced District 95 students in addition to learning how nonprofit
organizations manage events, support community needs and encourage volunteer
involvement. (Last year Joanie’s Closet created over 325 kits).

Lake Zurich Area Chamber of Commerce Internship Assignment
Assist with the development and implementation of a marketing plan that includes communications with area press and social media to promote the Chamber’s annual Taste of the Towns event scheduled for August 20, 2017.
